Catch-all

A catch-all allows to collect everything sent to a non-existent address (subdomain or email address).

catch-all type Representation
HTTP *.example.com
Email *@example.com

The catch-all usually is configured as redirection to a valid address (subdomain or email address).

Caution

Using catch-all for emails have some disadvantages:

  • This likely will amass large amounts of spam. We therefore advise you to activate the anti-spam on this address;
  • People who send you emails to non-existent addresses will no longer receive error emails, so they may think the address is valid. It will be up to you to alert them.
